Facilities Maintenance Technician
Our ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades, with in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, hydraulic systems, and basic tools and appliances. To excel in this position, you must be an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Basic Duties
- Drywall/plaster repair and painting
- Furniture assembly and relocation
- Basic Plumbing repairs, replacements, installation
- Basic Carpentry repairs and installations with hand and power tools
- Replacement and programming of locks
- Adjustment and repairs to door hardware and devices
- Replace H.V.A.C. filters on furnaces or AHU
- Facilities safety inspections
- Concrete and asphalt paving inspections and repairs
- Grounds and security maintenance (Doors, fencing, gate arms, and gates)
- May need to come in before normal hours for snow removal as required
- Other duties as assigned
- Maintain tools and equipment in clean, safe, working order
- Adhere to all safety requirements and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment
- Respond to emergency situations to ensure employee and facility safety
- Comply with OSHA and other local, state and federal regulations
- Adhere to organization and facilities department policies and procedures
- Build inter-departmental relationships and demonstrate a high level of cooperation
- Work requires a high attention to detail and a quality end result
- Must be self-motivated and able to complete projects with little to no supervision
- Valid state driver’s License a CDL is preferred but not required
- The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
