Job Description:
Job Summary: A dentist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing oral health issues in patients. They perform procedures such as cleanings, fillings, extractions, and root canals to maintain or restore oral health. Dentists also educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and may specialize in areas such as orthodontics, endodontics, or oral surgery.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Diagnosis and Treatment:
  • Examine patients' teeth, gums, and jaws to diagnose oral health issues.
  • Develop treatment plans to address dental problems, including cavities, gum disease, and misalignments.
  • Perform dental procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges, and extractions.
  • Administer anesthetics to numb pain during procedures.
Preventative Care:
  • Conduct routine cleanings and examinations to prevent dental problems.
  • Provide fluoride treatments and sealants to protect teeth from decay.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and diet recommendations.
  • Perform screenings for oral cancer and other diseases.
Specialized Services:
  • Offer specialized services such as orthodontics (braces), endodontics (root canals), periodontics (gum disease treatment), or oral surgery.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as orthodontists, periodontists, and oral surgeons, for comprehensive patient care.
Patient Management:
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain treatment options and address concerns.
  • Maintain detailed patient records and update medical histories.
  • Manage appointments and scheduling for efficient patient flow.
Continuing Education:
  • Stay current with advancements in dental technology and treatment methods.
  • Participate in continuing education courses and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) from an accredited dental school.
  • State licensure to practice dentistry.
  • Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Working Conditions:
  • Dentists typically work in clean, well-lit dental offices.
  • May work regular office hours or have evening and weekend appointments to accommodate patients.
  • Must adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
Benefits and Compensation:
  • Salary:  HH&WC offers a highly competitive, negotiated base salary with additional incentive opportunities in the fields of hyperbaric medicine, regenerative research, and more.
  • Sign-On Bonus:  $50,000
  • Relocation and Housing Assistance:  $30,000
  • Health Insurance: Employer-sponsored health insurance, including a low-deductible health plan through Cigna, Vision, and Dental. Premiums paid by the company, $250 ind or $500 family deductible, and low out of pocket!
  • Additional Insurance: Large employer monthly allotment for Disability, Life insurances, Cancer coverage, Accident policies, Hospital Indemnity coverage, and more through multiple supplemental companies.
  • Retirement: 8% matched 401(k).
  • PTO & leave: 6 weeks of PTO, 6 paid holidays, 7 days sick
  • Continuing or Additional Education: $5,000/ 5 Days
  • Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm
  • Malpractice:  Employer paid malpractice coverage ($1,000,000 / $3,000,000).
