Drafter
Hoskinson Contracting is looking for a drafter to support our in house design and marketing team. We are a new forward thinking contracting company with top of the line programs and tools to support its employees and customers. The ideal candidate will be proficient in drafting technical drawings. Their duties include creating traditional designs from preliminary sketches, verifying that drawings meet required specifications, and creating technical documents and reports. .

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Uses computer-aided drafting (CAD) software and/or Revit to create full-scale and detailed designs of buildings and interiors from an architect’s and engineer's rough drawings.
- Organizes structural, electrical, and mechanical drawings.
- Draws plans for foundations, buildings, and structures based on instructions provided by engineers and architects.
- Visits jobsites to gather data needed to complete civil and mechanical drawings.
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment on design objectives and deadlines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Extensive knowledge of CAD software, Revit, and other architectural drafting tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Drafting or relevant experience required.
- Three years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction sites.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
