Landscape Architect

Job Summary:

We are searching for a landscape architect with a keen eye for detail and excellent negotiation skills to join our team. The landscape architect's responsibilities will include drawing up plans using CAD software, site surveyance, writing and analyzing reports, drawing up contracts, and working collaboratively with our architects, planners, and engineers. 

Part 1: Hoskinson Contracting is located in Gillette, WY and is a subsidiary of Hoskinson Biotechnology and partners with Hoskinson Health & Wellness. Hoskinson Contracting was established in February, 2023. Our main purpose is to continue to build Hoskinson Health & Wellness Clinic into a large medical facility to provide one of a kind specialty healthcare to the community. Along with internal construction projects, Hoskinson Contracting has a vision to be a one stop shop for any contracting need. We have high quality resources to provide any type of service to our customers including Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Master Carpentry, Concrete work, etc. Hoskinson Contracting is rapidly growing and with our resources and vision we will one day become a premier contracting firm in Wyoming and surrounding areas.

Part 2: Hoskinson Ranch and associated companies are in the mountain region of Wheatland, Wyoming. Our organization was created to bring innovation to a traditionally rural environment and provide some elements of agricultural support to the community. To ensure proper development, we are pursuing long-term expansion plans on the existing Ranch grounds.

This position will include work in both Gillette and Wheatland with the first several years being focused on expansion in Gillette.

Responsibilities: 

• Creating rough drawings and more sophisticated plans with computer-aided design (CAD) programs.
• Review, research, analyze, and understand landscaping plans, designs, and specifications
• Prepare landscape plans, specifications, and estimates
• Review, research, and understand current and updated landscape trends
• Develop and implement landscape designs
• Manage and develop landscaping projects
• Perform tasks according to policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in landscape architecture.
• Licensed as required by the state
• Must be creative and resourceful to fulfill customer needs within budget and climate parameters
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
• Experience with CAD
• Excellent analytical skills
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Proficient with computer aided design and drafting
• Familiarity with GIS
