Join us to work with the world class Ophthalmologist Sam Navon, MD, PhD, FACS this summer at Hoskinson Health & Wellness, a leading medical practice committed to providing exceptional patient care services.  We prioritize patient satisfaction through state-of-the-art technology, compassionate care, and a team of skilled professionals. As part of our growing team, we are seeking a highly talented Certified Ophthalmology Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience to contribute to our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:
1. Patient Screening and Pre-Testing:
   - Perform comprehensive pre-testing procedures, including visual acuity, tonometry, and refraction.
   - Record patient medical history and relevant information.
   - Follow ophthalmologist from the medical clinic to the surgery center.



2. Diagnostic Testing:
   - Conduct various diagnostic tests such as visual field testing, OCT, and topography.
   - Assist in administering ophthalmic imaging tests and interpret results.

3. Assist with Clinical Procedures:
   - Prepare patients for examinations and assist ophthalmologists during clinical procedures.
   - Administer eye drops and medications as directed by the physician.

4. Instrument Maintenance:
   - Ensure all ophthalmic instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, calibrated, and maintained.
   - Report any equipment malfunctions promptly.

5. Patient Education:
   - Educate patients on eye care, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.
   - Answer patient queries and provide support as needed.


6. Documentation and Record Keeping:
   - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
   - Input data into electronic health records (EHR) system.

7. Collaboration and Communication:
   - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
   - Communicate effectively with the ophthalmology team and support staff.

Requirements:

1. Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or equivalent certification required.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an ophthalmology technician.
3. Proficiency in conducting various diagnostic tests and interpreting results.
4. Strong knowledge of ophthalmic terminology, diseases, and treatment procedures.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
7. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
