General Laborer

Job Summary:
Hoskinson Contracting is looking for general laborers to join our team who have experience in construction, specifically in flooring installation and/or carpentry.

This is a full-time, year-round, position and will include work in both Gillette and Wheatland. Preference will be given to applicants with commercial and residential experience.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Embrace the Company’s overall safety culture, support all safety initiatives, and adhere to all company policies and procedures including OSHA
• Assists with all aspects of carpentry
• Cleaning and preparing construction sites.
• Utilize hand and power tools safely 
• Dig, spread, and leveling of dirt and gravel
• Safely lifting, carrying, and handling building materials
• Framing with wood and metal studs
• Paint prep such as masking, pressure washing, etc.
• Demo and clean-up of debris and work areas
• Engage in multiple forms of physical labor for various construction projects 
• Help with flooring installation including prepping, and clean-up
• Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities: None indicated at this time.

Direct Report: This position will report to the department supervisor.

Physical Requirements: Physical labor is to be expected, including but not limited to walking construction sites, working outdoors in various weather conditions, bending, kneeling, sitting, squatting. Must be able to wear common protective safety equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and high visible vests when working on-site.  Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Knowledge, Experience, & Education Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License (Prefer CDL, but not required)
• OSHA 30 certification or willing to obtain
• Able to travel as required
• Previous experience in the construction industry
